The RSA WEEE Man – an environmental awareness initiative to highlight the growing problem of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) in the UK and across Europe – will be unveiled at the Waterfront Square, Bristol Harbourside on the 13 May 2006

The RSA WEEE Man, is an imposing seven metre high, human figure composed of three tonnes of WEEE. This represents the total amount of electronic waste that an average person in the UK is likely to consume in their lifetime.

CANON EUROPE AND RSA HIGHLIGHT NEED FOR COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC WASTE

Canon Europe, world leader in imaging technology, and the RSA, Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, today announced the launch of a joint environmental awareness initiative by unveiling the RSA WEEE Man. The waste giant is an imposing seven metre/three tonne high human-like sculpture that will be on display at London’s City Hall on the South Bank.
